Trae runs MCP servers locally over stdio. Connect ContentHero with the published MCP package and an API key.

Add the server

Open Settings, MCP, Add, Add Manually (or edit .trae/mcp.json in your project and enable project MCP) and add ContentHero:
Get an API key in the ContentHero app. The server runs locally and points at the same backend, so the tools appear as mcp__contenthero__*.

Verify

Ask Trae to read your ContentHero balance. It calls get_balance and returns your credits.
Trae does not support OAuth for remote MCP servers yet, so it uses the local stdio server with an API key rather than the hosted https://mcp.contenthero.ai endpoint. Requires Node.js, for npx.
