Add the connector

Open Connectors

In Settings, Connectors, enable developer mode if needed, then add a custom connector.

Enter the server

Name it ContentHero and set the MCP server URL:

Authorize

ChatGPT runs the OAuth flow. Sign in with your ContentHero account and approve. No API key needed.

Verify

In a chat with the connector enabled, ask ChatGPT to read your ContentHero balance. It calls get_balance and returns your credits.
Adding a custom connector requires ChatGPT developer mode (available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu). Developer mode alone covers read and fetch tools. Full MCP support, which includes the write actions ContentHero relies on (creating posts, generating media, publishing), is currently limited to Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces; Pro is read/fetch only. If write tools do not run, check your plan and workspace settings.
